Royal Marine Commando training is currently the longest selection and training programme of any combat task force in NATO. Officers and other ranks are trained in the same location in Lympstone Devon at the Commando Training Centre. You are expected to complete several apptitude tests, and also several gruelling physical examinations.

Joining the Royal Marines is possibly the most physically challenging thing you will ever have to go through. The training takes place on rugged terrain and is extremley physically exerting! This allows only the fittest and most suitable candidates through to the next stages of the application process.
